Launch of the Bond Website

Wylie ISD has added bond information to the district website to help community members become more familiar with the November 7 election. Voters will be asked to consider a $45 million bond referendum for the construction of a new junior high and Phase 2 of a new elementary school.

“The website serves as an important resource for our community,” said Superintendent Joey Light. “We’re a growing district short on classroom space so we’re asking taxpayers to consider a proposal that would address the overcrowding at our schools.”

The online bond resources include an overview of the two bond projects, project site map and school renderings, voting information, general bond facts and frequently asked bond questions. The information can be easily accessed from the school district’s homepage or directly at www.wyliebulldogs.org/wyliebond2017.

Superintendent's Message-

Welcome to Wylie Independent School District! I hope you will explore our Web site to learn more about our district, including our goals and achievements. This site is designed to be a resource for the entire community as we raise the bar and provide the instruction and the support every student needs for academic success. On our Parents' page, you’ll find links to bus schedules, lunch menus, health requirements, enrollment/application procedures, and other resources that help parents stay fully engaged throughout their child’s education. You may also want to visit the Web pages of individual schools. The Students' page offers online homework help, links to other Web sites that let students practice their skills, and even educational games. The Students' page also provides information on sports, clubs, and other school activities. Wylie I.S.D. is a community that passionately cares about education. Working together, we can ensure all students are able to grow academically in a learning environment that ultimately prepares them to succeed in a global, knowledge-based economy.
