What is CTE?
CTE is an acronym for Career and Technology Education courses. CTE courses are designed to provide academic challenges with relevant technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare for further education and careers in current and emerging professions.
Why is CTE important?
CTE course framework encourages districts to partner with industry to educate and train students in areas that encourage employability skills. CTE Programs of Study provide pathways for students to earn important certifications that are recognized by industry but can also springboard students into college readiness to further their education in preparation for a career.
