Important Bus Rider Information

In an effort to decrease the amount of time that our students must be on the bus during our afternoon routes, we have made some major bus route changes for the 2016-2017 school year.

Students in grades Pre-K thru 4th will load on their assigned buses at their regular campus. All buses with Pre-K thru 4th grade students (with the exception of buses #1, #9 and #10) will leave the intermediate campus at 3:20 and take students to their assigned bus stops. (Buses #1, #9 and #10 will travel to each campus before leaving on the route.

Different Buses will transport Middle, Junior High and High School students.

*If you need a Pre-K thru 4th Grade student to ride home with an older sibling from the Middle school, Junior High or High School, they will get on Bus #38 at their campus and ride to the Junior High and transfer to the older siblings Bus. Please make sure the student's Home Room Teacher has both Bus #'s for your child.

***In order to determine your child's bus # for the afternoon routes, you must enter your house number and street name and nothing else in the bus locator. Then on the left, check the campus for each child to find their afternoon bus number.***

Superintendent's Message

Welcome to Wylie Independent School District! I hope you will explore our Web site to learn more about our district, including our goals and achievements. This site is designed to be a resource for the entire community as we raise the bar and provide the instruction and the support every student needs for academic success. On our Parents' page, you’ll find links to bus schedules, lunch menus, health requirements, enrollment/application procedures, and other resources that help parents stay fully engaged throughout their child’s education. You may also want to visit the Web pages of individual schools. The Students' page offers online homework help, links to other Web sites that let students practice their skills, and even educational games. The Students' page also provides information on sports, clubs, and other school activities. Wylie I.S.D. is a community that passionately cares about education. Working together, we can ensure all students are able to grow academically in a learning environment that ultimately prepares them to succeed in a global, knowledge-based economy.
