At the United Way of Abileneโs annual luncheon, held at the Abilene Convention Center, Wylie East Elementary was recognized for setting a high bar in workplace giving, raising the highest amount across all districts to support local causes and community programs. Their generosity earned them a top award and well-deserved spotlight in front of fellow community leaders.
Principal Caren Christian and dedicated Wylie staff were honored at the event, representing the heart and impact of our district. Their efforts showcase the incredible things that happen when people come together for a greater purpose.

Terry Hagler, Wylieโs Assistant Superintendent, was honored for his service as he retires from the Abilene United Way Board of Directors after years of committed leadership.
Kathryn Bristow, Wylieโs Business Manager, was announced as one of the newest members joining the board, continuing the districtโs legacy of community service.
