It’s a great day to be a Wylie Bulldog! 🐾

Our school Read-A-Thon begins on Tuesday February 24, 2026 and is sure to be a fun and exciting event.
We understand that your time is valuable. We also know that providing the best education for your child is important. That's why we are encouraging everyone to activate their student's Read-A-Thon account as soon as possible. The instructions are straightforward, making it quick and hassle-free, and it should take less than 5 minutes of your time.
This account will serve as a hub for recording and monitoring your child's progress as a Reader in the event, and for you to share their Read-A-Thon message with friends and family. Use the link below to activate your student's Reader account:

Thank you so much for your participation and support. Together, we can make this Read-A-Thon an amazing experience for our young readers! Thank you,
Wylie East Elementary
School counselors play an essential role at Wylie—supporting academic success, social-emotional growth, and helping students plan for the future.
Take a moment this week to thank a school counselor who’s made a difference. Their impact reaches far beyond the office door. 💜

Due to overnight temperatures and slower thawing than expected, Wylie ISD will begin the school day today with a 2-hour delay.
All buses will also run on a 2-hour delayed schedule.

Wylie ISD Update:
We look forward to welcoming students and staff back to school on Thursday, January 29, at the regular schedule time. Campuses are ready, and we’re excited to resume learning together.

Wylie ISD will be closed on Wednesday, January 28, due to ongoing weather conditions. All classes and school-related activities are canceled. We will continue to share updates as conditions change. Please stay safe.

For students participating in the 100 Days of School at Wylie Early Childhood, East Elementary, and West Elementary, the celebration has been moved to Thursday, January 29.
After a few snow days at home students may look just a little older and 100 days wiser 😉
Teachers, don’t be surprised if you do a double take!
