Some teachers help with math. Some help with reading. And some quietly help children feel seen on the days they need it most.

At Wylie East Intermediate School, Morgan Parvin is that kind of teacher.

This week, Ms. Parvin was recognized in KTXS’ Teacher Tribute series after one of her students, Hank Tayloe, nominated her for the impact she has made in his life. Hank described Ms. Parvin as “smart, nice, thoughtful, loving, happy” - the kind of words that say more than any award ever could.

For Ms. Parvin, teaching has never just been a job. It has been a calling.

She shared that she feels honored to know a student took the time to write about the difference she has made. After 10 years in education, her purpose is still simple and steady: love kids well.

“These are my kids,” she said. “Every day when they step into my classroom, I want to treat them as if they were my own daughter.”

That kind of care cannot be faked. Students feel it in the way a teacher notices when they are having a hard day, explains a problem one more time, or simply makes school feel like a safe place to land.

At Wylie, we know the most meaningful lessons often happen far beyond a worksheet or test. They happen in relationships. In patience. In kindness.

Congratulations to Ms. Parvin on this well-deserved recognition. Thank you for showing what it means to lead with heart and remind students every day that they matter.

It’s great to be a Wylie Bulldog.
