On May 23, 2025, the Taylor County Expo Center was filled with proud families, heartfelt speeches, and shining purple caps and gowns as Wylie High School honored the graduating Class of 2025. It was a night of reflection, celebration, and anticipation for the bright futures ahead for the 352 graduating seniors.

The evening began with a heartfelt invocation from Paul Carper, setting a tone of gratitude and hope. Salutatorian Tehzeeb Grewal then delivered a moving address, reflecting on the importance of being present and the beauty found in everyday moments. Her personal story about Two Wylie High School graduates in purple caps and gowns share a conversation before the 2025 commencement ceremony. pausing to embrace the now resonated deeply with the audience and encouraged everyone to celebrate not just accomplishments, but also connection and joy.

Valedictorian Justice McGuiness followed with an inspiring message centered on identity and perseverance. He reminded graduates that life is not defined by external expectations or titles, but by the small choices we make daily. Through a powerful story about earning his black belt, Justice encouraged his classmates to choose who they want to be and to author their own stories with purpose and conviction.

The ceremony also recognized the Class of 2025’s many achievements, from academic honors and UIL championships to band, theater, FFA, and athletics. Students from every corner of the campus left a legacy of excellence and service, with over 2,000 combined community service hours and multiple state-level recognitions.

Mrs. Reagan Berry, Principal of Wylie High School, officially presented the class, and Mrs. Miller Loudermilk, President of the Wylie ISD School Board, confirmed their graduation. Superintendent Mr. Joey Light, alongside Assistant Superintendents Mr. Craig Bessent and Mr. Terry Hagler, honored each graduate as their names were called.

In a touching moment, the class paused to remember Kyle Rush, a classmate who passed away during his senior year. Kyle’s memory remains a lasting and cherished part of the Class of 2025.

As Wylie ISD proudly sends off this class into the world, one thing is certain: these Bulldogs will continue to lead with heart, strength, and the courage to shape their own futures.

It’s great to be a Wylie Bulldog—especially when celebrating a class as extraordinary as this one.
