Last weeks meet, the gym was filled with the sound of cheers, chalked hands, and the quiet focus that comes just before a gymnast takes the floor. When the final scores were tallied, the Wylie Bulldogs had plenty to celebrate.

Competing against Abilene High, Abilene Cooper, and Bryan Rudder High Schools, the Wylie gymnastics team delivered an impressive performance and captured first place overall at the meet.

Several Bulldogs stood out across the four events. On vault, Chloe McGary led the way with a first-place finish, followed by Ryan Antilley in second. Cambrya Lara and Addison Hernandez shared third place, with Avery Allen finishing fifth and Rowan Havens placing sixth.

Wylie also dominated the bars, where Ryan Antilley earned first place and Chloe McGary followed closely in second. Addison Hernandez finished fourth, while Cambrya Lara and Avery Allen tied for fifth.

The balance beam showcased steady nerves and strong routines. Avery Allen claimed first place, Ryan Antilley finished second, and Chloe McGary placed third. Cambrya Lara followed in fourth and Addison Hernandez in fifth.

On floor, Chloe McGary once again topped the podium with a first-place finish. Cambrya Lara placed second, Avery Allen finished third, and Ryan Antilley took fourth.

In the all-around standings, Chloe McGary led the Bulldogs with a first-place finish, followed by Ryan Antilley in second, Cambrya Lara in third, Avery Allen in fourth, and Addison Hernandez in fifth.

With the regular season wrapped up, the Bulldogs now turn their focus to the District Championship Meet in Odessa on March 4–5, where they will compete against San Angelo Central, Abilene, Permian, and Odessa High Schools.

If last week’s meet was any indication, Wylie gymnasts are ready for the moment. The routines are sharp, the team chemistry is strong, and the Bulldogs are flipping confidently into postseason competition.
