Retirement Celebration

Last night, we gathered at the Wylie Performing Arts Center to honor six incredible Wylie ISD team members who are retiring after decades of dedicated service. It was a joyful celebration filled with heartfelt hugs, shared memories, and well-deserved recognition.

We proudly celebrated:

  • Lisa Mayes, Early Childhood – 22 years

  • Rose Bristow, West Junior High – 33 years

  • Dana Elliott, West Junior High – 30 years

  • Alice Hall, High School – 30 years

  • Carla Hooper, Early Childhood – 36 years

  • Chad Widder, High School – 28 years

Their impact across our campuses—from the littlest Bulldogs to our graduating seniors—has been nothing short of extraordinary.

We extend a huge thank you to the Wylie Bulldogs Education Foundation for providing thoughtful gifts to honor each retiree, and to Wylie’s Advanced Culinary students, who prepared a delicious spread that included chicken salad croissants, pimento cheese pasta salad, pinwheels, deviled eggs, and mouthwatering desserts.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in sending off these wonderful educators with the love and gratitude they deserve. Once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog!
