Wylie ISD was honored to welcome back one of its own —2022 graduate Alaura Manjarrez—who returned to speak with Dr. Hood’s Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) class.

Alaura recently graduated from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center on May 9th with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and has officially earned the title of Registered Nurse. Her next chapter is nothing short of inspiring: she’ll be joining the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, working in the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit.

Her visit brought real-world experience and encouragement to our students who are just beginning their journey in healthcare. Alaura shared not only her academic path but also the passion, perseverance, and purpose that have guided her from the halls of Wylie to one of the top medical institutions in the world.

We are incredibly proud of Alaura and can't wait to see the impact she’ll make in the lives of her patients. Once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog!
