meet the bulldogs

An evening of cheers, tradition, and new beginnings

The stands at Hugh Sandifer Stadium were full, the cheers were loud, and the energy was pure Bulldog pride as the annual Meet the Bulldogs event brought the Wylie community together.

One by one, Wylie’s student-athletes, cheerleaders, Belles, band members, and teams took the field to thunderous applause. For many, it was a chance to put faces to the names they’ll be cheering on all season long. For the students, it was a reminder that in Wylie, no one competes alone — the entire Bulldog family stands behind them.

This year introduced a brand-new tradition: Pass the Torch. More than 70 wide-eyed kindergarteners joined hands with high school Bulldogs and stepped onto the turf for the very first time. Their small steps next to the older students symbolized something bigger than the moment — a future full of promise, pride, and purple. Parents watched with misty eyes as little Bulldogs looked up at the big ones, already dreaming of the day they’ll wear those same jerseys and uniforms.

The night was loud, joyful, and deeply Wylie — a celebration of community, tradition, and the simple truth we all know by heart: It’s great to be a Wylie Bulldog!
