Reece Harvey was crowned 2025 homecoming queen at halftime of Wylie High School’s football game Friday at Hugh Sandifer Stadium.
Honored Senior
One of five seniors up for the honor, she was accompanied by her father, Jody. Jody Harvey is the cross country coach for WHS.
Reece Harvey has been a physical therapy technician intern at Hendrick Medical Center. She plans to attend Abilene Christian University to study kinesiology while minoring in musical theater.
At Wylie, she has been part of musical theater and one-act play competition, as well as UIL speech and debate. She has also served as president of Fellowship of Christian Athletes for the past two years.
Other WHS activities include cross country, Purple Dog Company, Peer Assistance and Leadership (PALS) program, and Wylie Business Healthcare Association.
Away from school, she has been a Western Heritage Classic Rhinestone Girl, Stone Owl Scholar and an employee for Beltway Summer Club.
“It was such an honor to stand in front of the Wylie community I call home and be crowned homecoming queen,” Harvey said. “It’s a night I will never forget.”

The Court

Josy Fletcher, daughter of Lee and Nicole Fletcher, escorted by her father.
Payton Hill, daughter of Phil and Lisa Hill, escorted by her father.
Aiyana Washington, daughter of Wayne and Melissa Henderson, escorted by her father.
McKenna Herberg, daughter of Blaise and Jayme Herberg, escorted by her father.
The queen and her court were presented and crowned by Joshua Corrigan, Zeth Dora, Ashtyn Kershner, Laton Thompson and Joseph Nsabimana. They presented Harvey with the traditional bouquet of flowers.
Spotlight on the Band
Herberg almost stole the show. Dressed in a glittering gold gown, she climbed a drum major podium to lead the Pure Gold Band. She is the head drum major.
During their halftime performance, she also played a trumpet solo from her perch as cameras flashed. She is the lead trumpeter for the WHS jazz band.
Student Selection
The court was selected by the Class of 2026, then voted on by the entire student body.
