January is School Board Appreciation Month, and around Wylie ISD, that gives us a good reason to pause — not for a long pause, just the kind that makes you look up and say, “We’re lucky to have these folks.”
Serving on a school board isn’t a once-a-month commitment. It’s evenings spent reading agendas, weekends thinking through tough decisions, and countless conversations about what’s best for students — all while balancing jobs, families, and everyday life. Our Wylie ISD School Board does this work with care, thoughtfulness, and a steady belief in public education.
Their role is both big-picture and deeply personal. They help guide the vision of the district, approve budgets and policies, support our superintendent and staff, and make decisions that shape classrooms, hallways, and futures across Wylie ISD. And they do it with one goal in mind: creating the very best environment for students to learn, grow, and thrive.

How Bulldog Families Can Partner with the Board
One of the strengths of Wylie ISD is an engaged, caring community — and school board service works best when families stay connected.
Here are a few ways Bulldog parents and community members can be involved:
Attend School Board meetings to stay informed and see decision-making in action
Watch meetings online if attending in person isn’t possible
Review meeting agendas to learn what topics are being discussed
Share feedback respectfully and stay engaged in conversations about the district
When families and board members work together, good things happen — the kind of good things that last.

Thank You for Leading the Way
This month — and all year long — we’re grateful for the steady leadership, thoughtful decision-making, and Bulldog pride our School Board brings to Wylie ISD.
From classrooms to boardrooms, from students to staff to families — their work matters. And because of their service, it truly is great to be a Wylie Bulldog.
