Understanding TAPR: What the Texas Academic Performance Report Means for Wylie ISD Families
Each year, the Texas Education Agency releases the Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR) for every public school district and campus in the state. TAPR provides families and the community with a detailed look at how schools are performing academically and how students are progressing over time.
The 2024–2025 TAPR reports for Wylie Independent School District and each campus are now available for public review. See all documents HERE.
What Is TAPR?
TAPR is a comprehensive report designed to give transparency into student learning and school performance. It goes beyond a single test score and includes multiple measures that show how schools support students throughout the year.
TAPR reports include information on:
Student performance on STAAR assessments
Academic growth over time
Attendance and graduation rates
College, Career, and Military Readiness
Student demographics and participation in special programs
While TAPR contains detailed charts and data tables, families do not need to review every page to understand the overall picture. The most important information is how campuses are rated and how students are progressing year over year.
How TAPR Connects to Accountability Ratings
Using TAPR data, the Texas Education Agency assigns accountability ratings to districts and campuses. These ratings reflect student achievement, academic growth, and progress in closing learning gaps.
For the 2024–2025 school year, Wylie ISD campuses demonstrated strong academic performance across the district.
