New partnership with Region 14 ESC will provide early learning and whole-family support at Wylie Early Childhood Center.
Big news for Wylie’s littlest Bulldogs! Wylie ISD is partnering with Region 14 Education Service Center to offer one free PK4 Head Start class for the 2026-27 school year.
The class will be located at Wylie Early Childhood Center and is designed for children entering PK4.
More Than Preschool
Head Start combines high-quality early learning with services that support the child and the whole family.
Children will participate in engaging classroom activities that build:
Early reading and language skills
Math and science foundations
Social and emotional development
Healthy habits
Confidence and kindergarten readiness
Families may also receive access to family activities, training, health and wellness services, screenings, mental-health resources and connections to community support.

For Age 4 on or after September 1st.
Important Registration Information
Families interested in the PK4 Head Start class must complete three separate steps.
Completing the Head Start pre-enrollment form alone does not enroll a child in Wylie ISD. Families should complete each of the following steps to be considered for the program.
1. Enroll Your Child in Wylie ISD
All participating children must complete Wylie ISD’s new-student online enrollment process for the 2026–2027 school year.
Families should begin by gathering the required enrollment documents and submitting the Wylie ISD online enrollment application.
2. Complete the Head Start Pre-Enrollment Form
Families must also complete the separate Head Start pre-enrollment form.
This form provides information needed for the Head Start application process, but it does not replace Wylie ISD enrollment.
3. Attend Full Head Start Registration Next Week
Full Head Start registration will be held next week at Wylie Early Childhood Center.
