🎶 BULLDOG BITES: 5 Things to Know About Tonight’s Choir Concert!
Tonight isn't just another concert. It's a first for Wylie High School! Here's why you won't want to miss “Seek Joy.”
1️⃣ A WORLD PREMIERE! 🌎
The Wylie High School Choir will give the first public performance of Seek Joy, an original piece written specifically for our Bulldogs by composer Adam Miller.
2️⃣ MORE THAN 100 VOICES, ONE SONG!
More than 100 choir students will come together to bring this piece to life under the direction of Wylie alumna Brittany Gurganus, better known as “Miss G.”
3️⃣ A MESSAGE THAT MATTERS
Seek Joy encourages students to rise above negativity, recognize their worth and find happiness even when life gets difficult. As senior Aidan Smithson explains, the message reminds people that everyone belongs.
4️⃣ LISTEN FOR THE BIG FINISH! 🎵
The song builds as different vocal sections layer the words “Seek Joy,” leading to a dramatic key change before ending with two softer, a cappella measures. Listen closely!
5️⃣ THERE'S MORE THAN ONE REASON TO COME!
The concert features music exploring the things we seek in life, including comfort, friendship, memories and joy. Plus, the choir will close with its traditional performance of *It Is Well.*
📅 TONIGHT | Tuesday, October 13
⏰ 6:30 p.m.
📍 Wylie High School Performing Arts Center
Come support our Bulldogs as they make a little music history tonight!
Little streets. Big memories. And a few close encounters with the curb. 🚗
Our Wylie third graders took their turn at Safety City, practicing shoulder checks, learning the rules of the road and bringing home lessons that go well beyond the driver’s seat.
For many Abilene families, it’s a childhood tradition shared across generations.

Joy was in control, school spirit was UP, and when the bell rang, even Sadness knew it was time to head back to class! 😂
